I'm hosting a "Slumber Party" (Passion party... they go by many different names) in a couple of weeks, and since EVERYONE I know is reading the 50 Shades trilogy - thought it would be fun to base the decorations, food, etc around this theme.

Any suggestions, other than grey neckties?

I came across thie post doing reasearch because I am planning the same thing. I'm on book 3 so I've been logging fun saying from the books. I'm thinking Grey mens neck ties, lot's of "inner goddess" and Laters Baby! Oh and White wine, that's all they ever seem to drink? lol

Amie - I'm in pretty much the same place... I found a website that has instructions on how to fold linen napkins to look like neckties... http://www.napkinfoldingguide.com/10-necktie/ I'm going to do that, and try to make mini versions to put around wine glass stems, etc. Have all diff shades of grey neckties around candles, etc.... Planning to serve White Wine, Prosecco, and - for the finale - lemon martini's (sorry Mrs. Robinson!). Was going to try to cover my fireplace, etc in red satin - just don't have enough time to pull it together.. but - working on handcuffs and a riding crop - hanging off of plain silver "stocking hangers" from the mantle. Love your idea for the comments.... going to print them on place card templates & put them around the room.... Let me know what you come up with!

That web page is great! Llve the folded tie. I think I'm going to go with calling the party and using as my main thought, Fifty Shades of Filthy. I think I should come up with a cocktail or to? Maybe the Christen Gray (Something hard, Dirty Martini?) and then the Mrs. Steel (cutie vodka and something, maybe cotton candy) Maybe see if I can find some bondage'ish pic, black and white sorta to print and hang around. I think I'll be using Black, White and Red as the color's/ Classic with a twist.

You could base the snacks on some of the food mentioned in the books. So far, none of my friends are admitting to reading them...
