Now that you’ve seen how to make a “Call Me Maybe Valentine”, Jenny Dixon is back to show you another unique and super original DIY for the day of love. This Ruffle Cake Valentines Box is not only chic, but is also such a thoughtful way to present Valentines to the ones you love. Here's Jenny…
Need a place to store your special Valentines or an extra delicious Valentine Box to take to school? Let's make a ruffle cake Valentines box, shall we?
Materials:
- crepe paper
- glue stick
- round gift box or hat box (found mine at Michaels)
- white paper
- scissors

Directions:
- Line box with white paper
- Use a pencil to trace a line around the box showing where the lid meets the box.
- Add a row of glue stick to the box. To create the ruffle, press crepe paper into the glue every 1.5 inches or so, this will create a pleat. Continue to pleat until you reach your pencil line indicating where to stop.
I absolutely LOVE this craft! So unique, insanely chic and something your love will keep forever.I told Jenny that I'm going to attempt to make a triple-tier cake for Dean for Valentine’s Day… if I succeed I’ll post pictures of it!! Thanks to Jenny for another amazing V-Day DIY!! For more fabulous crafts from Jenny check out her blog Craft That Party.
Will you be making a ruffle cake Valentine’s box for your sweetheart?
Love,
T
