Happy 4th of July!
Happy Independence Day! Today the McDermotts will be spending the holiday together as a family – Dean will be grilling while the kids will most likely spend the entire day in the pool.
And since Dean will be manning the grill, it's guaranteed to be a delicious feast. If you're the resident grill master, pick up some palate-pleasing recipes here.
I hope you are all enjoying your day off, relaxing with your family and friends, eating delectable American favorites (burgers please!) and getting ready to take in the fireworks.

Your first two kids definitely resemble Dean. (you're probably tired of hearing that! lol) But, Miss Hattie certainly looks like her mama!!!!! What a little doll! You are blessed. Loved the 4th of July photos, thanks for sharing.

I went to a rodeo! I'm a California girl, I had never been to a rodeo before.... it was so much fun! After the rodeo they had the most spectacular fireworks show I have ever seen. Earlier in the day, I went to my friend's house, she's the one with the pool, her husband grilled and we ate and the kids swam. It was a great day! I'm looking forward to seing pictures of the McDermott's 4th of July

Hey , everyone my kids are in indiana visiting family ,i had surgery on my ankle so i could not go hubby had to work ,but now is home .we all wish everyone a safe and happy 4 th of july .

Not only is it the birthday of our great nation; it's my husband's birthday as well!! It is brutally hot here in Chicago, so we've decked ourselves out in red, white and blue and I will be taking him for lunch to a restaurant we've been meaning to try. They are "Rockin' the 4th" and I'm a sucker for holidays promos!! Have a safe and happy 4th everbody & stay cool!!

Hattie is already becoming a fan of the pool! Hope you go in too to cool off! Enjoy your day!!.... I will be going to my sisters house for a barbecue & going in the pool as well!! I am happy that I will be able to go! We don't barbecue often!... Should be a fun day! My brother-in-law is the "Grill Master!" for the day! Actually, he does all the outside barbecuing!! Not that he is as Fantastic as DEAN!! Sorry, to my brother-in-law but, Dean is the MASTER Chef!! .... Tori, hope you enjoy your burger! Lol! :))

We're spending the 4th at Dodger Staduim, no grilling for the Smith family this year since hubby has to work a 1/2 day. We'll let the Dodgers grill us up some Dodger dogs. Have a wonderful holiday with your family!

HAPPY 4TH TO ALL OF YOU! IT'S GOING TO BE ANOTHER HOT ONE HERE IN ILLINOIS. TEMP TO REACH 104F. HUBBY HAS THE DAY OFF AND WE'LL PROBABLY BE SPENDING MOST OF THE DAY INDOORS JUST RELAXING AND ENJOYING THE REST. MOST STORES ARE OPEN SO WE MAY DO A LITTLE SHOPPING...THAT'S INDOORS AND ENJOYABLE, RIGHT? HAVE A GREAT DAY!

I've spent the morning making a watermelon and blueberry salad, using cookie cutters to make stars out of the watermelon, and a fruit skewer flag. We will be practicing making Bite-Size Burger Kabobs and then participating in a mini-block party with our neighbors.

We will be having tons of fun with my sister and girls. Hubs will grill up some awesome burgers and mixing up a batch of his home made Spicy Garlic Sauce. Ahhh. Happy 4th.

Happy 4th of July! Sounds like y'all have a great day planned! :) I started my holiday with a donation to the food bank in Colorado to help the families displaced by the wildfires. Am hoping others will help as well. :)

In a roaring hot office! For obvious reasons we don't celebrate the 4th of July across the pond, so just plain old working day for me. Allthough the mercury is finally rising after weeks of arctic 'summer' temperatures, so the grillingpart of your day might be a possibility for me too!
