Navigating a new recipe can be challenging even for skilled (and semi-skilled) adults. The best way to introduce your kitchen-curious tots to the culinary arts is with recipes that are targeted especially at little beginners. We've rounded up six of the very best cookbooks for budding chefs. Grab an apron, a mixing bowl, and dig in!

We have the "C is for Cooking" and have a few favorite recipes that come from it. My kids have been helping in the kitchen since they were littles. I know they were both younger than 2... thanks for such a great blog, Tori. If you ever make it to Wisconsin, you can stay with us!

It's never to early to get the kids in the kitchen and whipping up something creative. Makes for great memories! These books look really neat.

May I suggest Paula Deen's My First Cookbook. My little's learned to cook with me long before they could read because the ingredients are in picture form, so they can grab them from the pantry and fridge without knowing the words. They are now 7, 7 and 9 and still love to use this cookbook to cook with me.
