Juggling a career, kids, and a household can get a little tricky and, shall we say, time-consuming. So, I've created a new blog series to share some life-simplifying ideas for all you multi-tasking mamas aka momistas!
I'm kicking off the series with some creative and time-saving tips and advice from a Daily Buzz article that a friend of mine recently sent me.
Oh, Nuts
Rubbing a walnut over scratches in your furniture will disguise dings and scrapes...who knew?
Cupcake Tin Caddy
All of the crafty mamas know that creativity requires a whole lotta supplies... Well, whip out a muffin pan, some plastic cups and magnets to keep the cups in place, and you have your own craft caddy. No one can call you a hoarder if you're organized!
Soothe the Burn
Freeze Aloe Vera in ice-cube trays for easy sunburn relief. Well, more like snow-burn at this time of year (if you've ever gotten a sunburn after skiing or playing in the snow all day, you know what I mean!).
Shower Cap Shoe Bag
Never thought I'd be one to get excited about a shower cap, but they're perfect for storing shoes in your suitcase because they keep your dirty soles from touching your clothes. Bonus: most hotels supply them so you can grab one on the road!
What are your favorite time saving tricks? Share them in the comments below, and I may feature your ideas in a future blog!

I love the shower cap idea! I never know what to do with my shoes and now I do! I'm assuming the muffin pan has to be one of the large muffin size pans?

Fantastic ideas! I can't wait to try them out! One big thing that I always have on hand are pop-sicles. They're perfect for when the kids bite their tongue/lip - the treat helps take their mind off the pain, and the cold takes down the swelling. Also, since I can't handle sticky messes, the only place the kiddos eat popsicles is in the bathtub - they think it's the greatest thing, and the sticky mess is kept at bay! (Also works for suckers!)

I keep a market basket in the front seat of my car for all the things you need regularly like baby wipes, kleenex, pencils, pens, and a couple of snacks. I also keep things that tend to pile up by the back door so if I have a few minutes between picking up or dropping off my 5 kids and school I can use the time wisely (mail a letter, return something to Target, return library books, drop off items at the tailor, etc).

The pans are a great idea! I use old loaf pans (honestly, I've never used them so they're really new ;) I put them in drawers as organizers.

Really nice tips! some from me:
The fingerprints on your stainless steel refrigerator or the like will disappear if you use paper towels, dab of mineral water.
Lubricate broken and chapped lips with honey! Want to get rid of the hard - rub after about five minutes with a soft toothbrush gently.
Always have a box of matches found in the bathroom. When you have made number two candles are simply a match and blow it out. Swish and all traces of odor is gone! Safe and simple.
Good Luck!

Thank you for the tips!!! I have a tip when I am trying to get things done in the kitchen I go to my kitchen art box. It is a small box that I keep in the kitchen full of art goodies I know my Owen (2years old) will like to play with. It is good for about 20 min or so. I did a post f it on my blog http://dreamtoday1.blogspot.com/2011/12/kitchen-art-box.html

In the afternoon my kid is always wanting to snack. I was spending a LOT of time having to stop what I am doing to go find him something else, so I came up with a solution...and this works great if you have multiple kids with different preferences too.
Using a cupcake pan, fill each cup with a different snack. Example: apple slices in one cup, nuts in another, pretzels in one, hummus in another, carrot sticks in one with ranch in another, goldfish, cheese slices, grapes, animal crackers, and a couple w small peanut butter sandwich triangles.
Set it out and let the kids snack at their leisure! Saves me so much time and gives kids options. Have fun with it :) -
