There were so many fun aspects of playing Marci in The Mistle-Tones (which premieres this Sunday at 8/7 c on ABC Family!); I got to sing my fave Christmas songs including a Mariah track (dream come true!), dance my heart out, and work with some fabulous co-stars including momista Tia Mowry and my very own pup Mitzi.
But, I think the best part about playing Marci was the wardrobe. Her fashion inspiration seemed very snowbell faux fur-tastic chic. It was fun and over the top and I absolutely loved it. This meant lots of white, faux fur, sparkly gowns and a special vision of faux fur legwarmers. Doesn't every diva need a pair of those? It was very Joan Collins in Dynasty meets 80’s rom-com villain-ess and I loved every minute of it.
Now Joan Collins’ character Alexis in Dynasty is a total fashion icon, and while we were filming I didn’t even realize the similarities in style between Alexis and Marci. But, recently a friend posted the above pic of Joan Collins as Alexis and I had that OMG moment... it’s SO Marci! You can’t deny the resemblance fashion-wise. Alexis in Dynasty was known for her over the top 80’s style – complete with sequins, shoulder pads, sparkly gowns and fabulous hats. Marci is my version of the modern day Alexis, and I couldn’t be more proud to carry on the Dynasty tradition of total and absolute chicness. My Dad would be proud!!
Will you be tuning into The Mistle-Tones on Sunday (8/7c on ABC Family) to see Marci in her Dynasty-chic finest?
Love,
T

Yup, definitely see the resemblance. Love you when you play mean girls! Stacy now Marci -- awesomeness! -
If only I could!!! Maybe ... someday ... it'll arrive in dark and cold north-west Europe :(
Have fun at premiere night, at least hope to see a festive picTORIal of that, enjoy it on behalf of me. One advantage though: this way I can keep my focus on Christmas preparations! So many ideas and inspiration, so little time, I guess we all recognize that. Still my fave time of the year, and at least some heavy snowfall over here gets and keeps me in the right mood. #DreamingOfWhiteChristmasses! Have fun T! -
My daughter and I are beyond excited for The Mistle-Tones! The DVR has been set for about a week now so we can watch it over and over! Because well, both you and Tia Mowry are our favorite celebes ever!
