Coming Soon: The Mistle-Tones
Now that Halloween is over, we are officially in the midst of the winter holidays! In that vein, I’m excited to let all of you know about my latest project – I’ll be starring in an original Christmas musical on ABC Family called “The Mistle-Tones”! The movie premieres on Sunday, December 9th at 8pm ET, and I can’t wait for you guys to see it! It’s such a fun movie, and I had the best time making it. My fellow momista Tia Mowry is my co-star in this comedy, and the movie features both of us singing your fave Christmas songs. Plus there's dancing, sparkles, and holiday cheer! And, my very own Mitzi makes her on-screen debut as my dog Vixen.
In “The Mistle-Tones,” Holly (played by Tia), is super excited to audition for the newly vacated spot in a legendary local Christmas group. Marci (played by yours truly), the group's leader, gives the spot to her best friend instead of the super talended Holly, So, Holly sets out to create her own musical group and forms The Mistle-Tones. A Christmas Eve sing-off ensues… and you’ll have to watch the movie to find out what happens next.

In addition to the movie premiering in December, ABC Family is releasing a movie soundtrack on Sunday, November 18th. It’ll feature 9 songs sung by the cast (including moi), and will be available on iTunes. For anyone needing a little help getting into the holiday spirit, this is the soundtrack for you!
I had so much fun working on this movie, and hope that it brings some holiday spirit and joy to all of you.

I love all the traditional Christmas songs, especially Der Bingle's "White Christmas". My new favourite holiday song is Pink Martini's rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" (last song on their "Joy to the World" CD). It's such a beautiful, up-tempo JOY-ful song, you just can't help but smile when listening to it! -
Congrats! Looking forward to watching! So exciting for Mitzi too, lol. I had a childhood dog named Mitzi. It's neat to see that you've brought back the name from circa 1970s! Makes me smile. I gotta say, the dogs that bark jingle bells does make me laugh. ;)

I love holiday movies! Looking forward to seeing this new one! holiday songs....so many to choose! "I'll Be Home for Christmas" (sung by Karen Carpenter) "Oh Holy Night", "The Christmas Song" (sung by Bing Crosby!), "Let It Snow".

I am a complete nutter for Christmas and all the trimmings. The seasons crooners White Christmas and Let it Snow are on top of my list but as a girl who grew up in the Eighties, there is no Christmas without Wham's Last Christmas (the pudding mix)!! Thank you for putting me in the right seasonal mode with this post (and a Christmas song in my head ...) -
I've been waiting for this movie but... how did I not know you were in it?! I love Tia (and Tamera) now that I know you are in it, I am even more excited about the movie. My little boy and I are already watching every Christmas movie we come across on netflix. Can't wait to see you and Tia working together
