When you have four kiddos running around, the house can get a little messy. So now that it’s spring, it’s time to get down and dirty and do some serious spring cleaning! Today I’m sharing a few tips about how I start my own spring cleaning process in each room. Take a look…

  1. I always start with the closet. Everyone has at least a few things in there that they have not worn in a while! Check out this great blog post on the 7 Questions You Should Ask Yourself when it comes to cleaning out your closet over at The Every Girl.
  2. The kid’s closets can also use a little Spring Makeover. These kids grow like weeds – so get rid of clothes that no longer fits!
  3. You can also use this opportunity to organize your kid’s room a little bit! Check out these super cool DIY ways to organize your kid’s toys from the The Gracious Wife.

  1. I hate when my keyboard gets dirty! But you can can clean off your keyboard stains with cotton swabs and a little bit of alcohol. (from Martha Stewart)

  1. Sanitize your sponges by putting them in the microwave. (From Listotic)
  2. Clean out that pantry! Even if you cook a lot like we do, there is always something that gets forgotten in the back of the cabinet. Anything that is expired or has gone stale goes to the trash!
  3. Use a little salt and half a lemon to clean your stainless steel sink. Then put the other half of the lemon down the disposal to freshen things up!

  1. It’s time to pay attention to those light fixtures! Change all the light bulbs that need changing and then wipe the fixtures down with some water + vinegar spray!
