Fall is in the air, which means Thanksgiving is almost here! And this year, the McDermotts are coming to the Cooking Channel! We absolutely love holidays around here, so we filmed a special for the Cooking Channel and it premieres Sunday, November 8th at 8pm ET/5pm PT and the throughout the month. We can’t wait for all of you to see it. The entire family cooks and crafts up a storm for a very special Thanksgiving Dinner!

The holidays are such a special time to be with family and friends, and Thanksgiving is a favorite here in the McDermott household. Not only is there amazing food and a chance to do some pretty fabulous decorating, but we also get the chance to remind ourselves how grateful we are for all that we have and each other! Our family is stronger than ever, and this Thanksgiving we have so much to be thankful for. And, we want to share some fun and fabulous recipes and DIY’s with all of you…

Now, you don’t want to miss this special! Dean and I (and all the kiddos) cook up a storm… and the kids and I are inspired to ” Go Green” this year with an edible tablescape, and the end result is a really fun Thanksgiving meal. We share this special holiday with our closest friends; Gusband Mehran, Guncles Bill and Scout and cousins Simone and Baby Boz! If I must say so myself we made some of the most delicious dishes… a food craft extravaganza of Maple-Bacon Latticed Turkey with Sage Butter, Dean’s famous Sausage Stuffing in Artichokes, Sweet Potato Pancakes topped with a roasted marshmallow (inspired by Liam), and of course my infamous Green Bean Bundles! Is your mouth watering yet?! And, we started a new McDermott family tradition, too. You’ll have to tune in to see what it is!
