With the holiday rush upon us sometimes it’s the decorating that happens last minute. You are rushing around finishing your holiday shopping and realize, it’s time to hang that garland. Whether the season snuck up on you or you’re just a busy mama — these tips will help you get your home holiday ready in no time.

1. Update with Art Work

Okay, maybe you don’t have tons of decoration or loads of tinsel but choose a few pieces of art to change up your mantel or gallery wall. I especially love this Roman Numerals print from Jenna Sue Design. — personalize it with Christmas this year and top it off with a red frame. It’s a perfect holiday pick-me-up.

Lindsay Letters has an amazing holiday lookbook full of inspiration too. I’ve been eye-ing this Abstract Pink Christmas Tree canvas for some time.

2. Decorative Pillows

Look for fun and festive pillows that are holiday themed but still could be used throughout the year. These Gold Antler pillows from HomeGoods were a great find! I choose to place them on these amazing printed chairs from Birch Lane.

3. Refresh with Flowers

Considering opting for fresh flowers and greenery this year. ProFlowers has amazing garland, wreaths — the evergreen smell in your home is just amazing and makes Christmas come alive. Fresh flowers and plants really do cheer up your home.

4. Go with a Monochromatic Theme

Sticking with a color really helps make for quick and easy decorating. I went with a winter white and cream throughout my home and I loved choosing modern holiday decorations. Fill the mantel or bookshelves with a monochromatic hue is great eye-candy.

5. Have a Focal Point

If you’re in a hurry when it comes to decorating – create a focal point like the mantel and focus on making it the center of attention. Coordinating your decor with a painting above the mantel really makes it quickly looked pulled together. It makes a room look complete too! {Get the Look: Canvas by Michelle Armas, Decor from HomeGoods & Target, Garland from ProFlowers}
