Update: My New Book Is Out Today

Spelling It Like It Is

I am so excited to tell you guys that my new book Spelling It Like It Is is on sale today! A lot has gone on since my last memoir was published, and I am so excited to share some of the stories with you. I’m also so happy with how the cover turned out, and so glad that all my babes (and fur-babes!) got to share the cover with me. Here’s a little bit about Spelling It Like It Is

Life is never boring at Tori’s house, but since her New York Times bestselling memoirs sTORI Telling, Mommywood, and Uncharted terriTORI, things have been especially unpredictable: Finding out she was pregnant with her third baby after nearly vomiting live on the Home Shopping Network; trying to hide her fourth pregnancy so soon after giving birth (as her stylist said, “who would be that crazy?”); being rescued from a paparazzo by a mom lynch mob; stalking her celebrity neighbor; and allowing cameras to film every personal detail of her life—from the most challenging time in her marriage to the only time in six years when she really felt as though those cameras invaded her privacy.

Tori shares these stories and many more with the usual humor, candor, and down-to-earth charm that her fans love. She also writes openly about her biggest challenges: the terrifying health problems surrounding her high-risk pregnancy with youngest son Finn, her guilt over missing baby Hattie’s early months because she was in the hospital on bed rest, her struggles (and failures) to live within her means after growing up in opulence, discovering how much she has in common with her late mega-producer father, Aaron Spelling, and falling in love with Dean all over again (hint: it didn’t happen at their vow renewal ceremony).

And that’s just the beginning!

Hi Tori, I’m a huge fan and have been for decades. I feel like we’ve grown up together from 90210 upward. I’m not a huge celebrity follower but with you I feel like it’s different, you seemed so “normal”. I’m a little into your book and some of the things I’m reading are changing my opinion of you a little. For instance, I watched Tori and Dean and loved the Valentine’s night when you wrapped up your pregnancy test and gave it to him as a gift. It was so sweet I thought of doing the same for my husband with our second pregnancy. I was so sad to find out it was staged with you and Mehran and happened 2 nights after. Secondly I just read your story on how Dean accidentally tweeted out a picture of your breasts. Even though I follow both of you I missed that shot. I was upset to hear you were lounging around with your kids topless. I guess I’m a prude. It just disturbs me. I’m pretty sure you’ll never see this and fans may come down on me but for some reason I was compelled to write it. Take care. N

Yes I’ve read it. I’ve read them all. I have always liked that you are pretty average in the “crazy” just like the rest of the world. That relatability is endearing.

I’m also glad to find out what happened to Tori & Dean since it just up and disappeared off of TV. I got to watch the Wedding show for a bit and poof, y’all were gone.

And I’m chuckling at all the brew-ha-ha and kevetching over the alleged dig on Katie Holmes. In context, your comment makes sense. She seemed plastic like she wasn’t really comfortable at the time and just a few months after that encounter you found out her and Cruise were splitting up. It sure would explain a wooden or “plastic” response to me without it being a dig on anyone.

Keep enjoying life with your family and find a way back on TV. I miss seeing you as an actress.
