Hope everyone had an amazing Easter weekend. I know we did. Saturday was DIY Egg Day in our house. All three kids embarked on an egg dying adventure, while Baby Finn supervised. My little craftistas created some masterpieces, and it ended up being the perfect way to kick off this special weekend.
Hattie was overjoyed at her 1st eggs-perience!
Uh oh… I think we have another crafter in our family!
My starter chevron egg… I think it turned out pretty good for a first time try!
In deep into the dying egg-stravaganza!
And deeper! What a “fun” mess. Glad I had plastic down…
What I thought was a chic batik egg was labeled an avocado on Instagram. ha ha!
Stella’s fave egg she made. Purple and pink, which of course coordinated with her nails as well… Always such a lil stylista.
Some of our eggs drying on our DIY Styrofoam and toothpick rack. Some of the eggs cracked, but that’s what happens with little fingers 😉
“We” all went to bed excited for a big day ahead. But not before Stella insisting on leaving carrots and water for the Easter Bunny.
Easter morning we awoke to find this in the kitchen. Stella squealed with delight… and then got mad that the Easter Bunny made such a mess and didn’t clean up after himself. Ha ha! When she first woke up Easter morning, she said, “The Easter Bunny definitely came. Last night I heard hopping in my ears while I was sleeping.” So sweet.
I love this pic of utter family chaos as everyone ascended on their Easter baskets! Bunny even left money in one egg for each kid. Oh, bunny!
So funny… Liam wearing his Xmas PJs while opening his Easter egg treats! With his dyed nails from Easter egg coloring… aka his Easter war paint!
Finn’s basket (don’t worry, there was nothing left over! His siblings ate his candy and his plastic egg contained a new pacifier)…
Here’s the DIY edible Easter jewelry I made. A peep choker and a bunny peep double banded bracelet. Adorned with licorice string and jellybeans.
Stella proudly wearing mom’s project!
We then packed up and headed off to Easter brunch at a hotel in Ventura.
I proudly went #HauteHoliday for Easter Brunch. DIY nail art by yours truly!
Hattie was excited to hit the kids’ buffet! She’s by far our best eater. #FoodieToddler
Finn can’t decide whether to eat his shoe or the piece of bread in his lap…
Sadly it was a gloomy, rainy day but the fireplace at the hotel was so cozy.
Stella wore my first charm necklace that I got when I was her age. Proud to finally share it with my daughter.
After brunch the kids participated in the egg hunt. Hattie proudly collected five eggs. Go Hattie Cat!
Stella is a lover not a fighter, as proven here in this picture, while she sadly shows off that she only got two eggs. But not to worry! Liam shared with his sis.
Liam showing Dad and Finn all his eggs…
I think he collected the most eggs!
It started to pour… luckily after the hunt was over. So we ran inside to the craft room! Finn loved watching the kids DIY with Dad.
Liam opted to look thru his eggs while the girls and I crafted
Stella decorated foam eggs with magnets for our fridge.
Big smiles from baby Finn! He loved his first Easter.
Here we are crafting more foam eggs together.
Here’s my coloring project…
Here’s Stella’s art project…
After an amazing day it was time to pack up and head home…
But not before getting a family Easter picture! I love my family and I love this photo. I feel so blessed. And, I now know my new twitter avatar 😉
Hope you all had a great Easter.
How did you and your family celebrate?
