Does everyone know what this Sunday is?!?!? Well, it’s only the biggest night in television! And no, I’m not talking about the Grammy’s… I’m talking about the Season Finale of Rachael vs Guy Celebrity Cook Off, where my handsome and talented hubby will be competing against Carnie Wilson to win $50,000 for charity.
That’s right, Dean made it all the way to the finals! I couldn’t be more proud of my man for making it so far in the competition, and am beyond happy that the world has seen what an incredible chef and person Dean is.
If Dean were to win this competition it would mean so much to him, and so much to our family. The charity that Dean is playing for is Miracle Babies, which is a non-profit resource for babies who were born prematurely and their families. Their mission is to provide financial support to families in need who have newborns in the NICU.
This charity is very near and dear to our hearts, as we have our very own Miracle Baby in the McDermott household. When Dean filmed this competition show I was pregnant with Finn and in the hospital with a dangerous condition called Placenta Previa. We were faced with the uncertain reality that Finn could be born extremely premature and have to be in the NICU. That is why Dean wanted to play for Miracle Babies. For our baby and babies everywhere in need. We are so blessed that our baby was born only 3 weeks premature and never had to see a NICU. But, Finn is still our miracle, and our goal is to support parents of other miracle babies all over the world.
That said, the whole McDermott family has our fingers and toes crossed for a win, and we hope you’ll be watching too and cheering on my man! Tune in to the season finale on Sunday, February 10th at 9pm/8 central to see who wins it all for charity. Take it home babe!
Will you be rooting for Dean and Team Guy on Sunday night?
