    1) Daniel finished his Chandelier with 20 min.to spare. 2) The craters used wine bottles, corks, wine boxes,&wine barrels. 3) Daniel uses wine bottles with duct tape wrapped around the edges of the bottles along with light bulbs as lanterns. 4) Lenas sculpture was a grapevine made of twisted wire & corks bundled as grapes. She also made grapes out of metal bowls with corks glued around the bottom to look like grapes(but it didn’t). She then used cookie sheets around the bottom as leaves. Honestly it didn’t look like a very good food & wine display. 5) Daniel wins with his food & wine display.

    1. Daniel had extra time. 2. They used corks, wine barrels, boxes and bottles. 3. Wine bottles and tape(very creative) 4. Its a grapevine with metal bowls trays and twisted wires. 5. Daniel was the winner and he deserved it.

    2. Wine bottles, wine corks, wine labels, wine barrels, silver bowls and cookie sheets.

    3. Wine bottles with the bottems cut off with silver duct taped wrapped around the bottoms to hide the cut parts. (and of course a light)

    4. Lena’s Master Craft sculpture is suppossed to be a bunch of grapes (made from bunches of corks) on a wire grapevine. It also had upside down silver bowls with plexiglass on top to hold the food. The bowls had cork bundles on the bottom to also represent grapes. She added large leaves made from cookie sheets along the bottom of the display.

    5. Daniel wins Craft Wars.

Question1…Daniel finished first with 20 minutes to spare!! And he didn’t even use the obvious embordery hoops or cut them apart (IMPRESSIVE!!), awesome use of what the materials already possess So glad he didn’t over embelish with his extra time :) Q2….Crafters had to use barrels, wine crates, wine labels, corks, pots and pans, green bottles, yellow bottles (as narrated by Daniel) in the Master Craft. Q3…. Daniel uses glass bottles with foil tape to cover the cut edges for outdoor laterns (LOVE the bottle cutter!! Never heard of it before this show! (: ) Q4….Lena’s sculpture was a structure of barrels with steps. Details included corks cut and glued together to make bunches of grapes which were attached to the structure with drill twisted wire, aluminum cookie sheets for a leaf shaped decoration, a material covered grape vine stem with the twisted wire and bunches of cork grapes attaches, bowls turned upside down for “table tops” Q5….Daniel won!! My favorite was all his chalkboard signs so you know exactly what you’re eating/drinking. I agreed with the judges when they said he needed to pay closer attention to details and compelting a project completely

-One of the crafters finish the craft early with a little time left on the clock – who is it?: Daniel finishes first-then bedazzles his chandelier which the judges didn’t love.
-What do the crafters have to use in the Master Craft to create food and wine displays? They are using cooking supplies, wine bottles, barrels, etc: the very things you need to make food and wine.
-What does Daniel use for outdoor lanterns? Daniel makes outdoor lanterns out of wine bottles with the bottoms cut off then covered at the bottom with duct tape. I’ve never seen the bottle etcher, such a cool tool (Daniel did make it look a little difficult though).
-What does Lena’s sculpture look like? It is supposed to look like a giant grape vine with grapes and leaves at the bottom and a vine made of wire at the top. I loved the trick of using a power drill to twist the wire!
-Who wins? Daniel does!! Yay!! Made me want a glass of wine.

  • Susan Morris

    1. Daniel finishes with time on the clock

    2. They used corks, barrels ect..which was stuff used to make wine and food

    3. Daniel’s lantern was made out of bottles and duct tape

    4. Lena’s sculpture was a grape vine(the wire sculpture was a grapevine, as well as the entire structure she built which at one point she said looked like “crap”)

    5. Daniel wins Craft Wars!

My favorite moment from this season of Craft Wars was probably the end of the episode I just watched-Daniel’s craft blew Lena’s out of the water and I was rooting for him all the way. My favorite craft was the haunted pirate ship.

  • Rebecca Armstrong

1.Daniel finished his original project with 20 minutes to spare (and should have stopped there.)

    2. They used wine bottles, corks, and lables, along with all types of bowls and other food serving/cooking items.

    3. Because he could not figure out how to use the bottle cutter, his wine bottle lamps also included duct tape.

    4. Lena’s sculpture was a vine made from twisted wire. Her method using the electric drill was genious!

    5. Daniel was the well deserved winner of Craft Wars.

** As to my favorite moment of the season…that is a hard one. I have to say that I really enjoyed learning new tips. My favorite tip was the use of aluminum foil to sharpen one’s tools! Choosing a favorite craft is also challenging but I really liked some of the zipper inspired details in the “smoke and mirrors” bedroom…especially the pillow with the zipper roses. All of those momements and crafts really inspired me. I can’t tell you how many time I went to Michaels “cursing” Craft Wars for encouraging me! In a fun way of course ;)

She made a twisted metal grape vine and used wine cork clusters to look like grapes.Who wins? Dan won.

My 10 year old daughter and I have really enjoyed watching craft wars every week together. We cannot wait for more! My favorite episodes were Christmas and Halloween, I cannot wait to start decorating for both, and will keep the crafts we saw on here in mind!

    1. Daniel finished with time left on the clock

    2. They used barrels, bottles, pots & pans, corks: items used to serve and prep food

    3. Daniel uses the wine bottles that he cut the bottom off then he used silver tape to go around the bottom of the edges because he had a hard time with the glass cutter.

    4. A grapevine with grape clusters is what look she was going for.

    5. Daniel! Although they critized him for his lack of finishing details I thought he did a better job overall with theme and arrangement.

One of the crafters finish the craft early with a little time left on the clock – who is it? Daniel
What do the crafters have to use in the Master Craft to create food and wine displays? Wine Bottles, Pots, pans, bowls, food prep items, wine making items
What does Daniel use for outdoor lanterns? Daniel cut the bottom off the wine bottles, inserted the lights through the neck and the light is inside the bottle. The duct tape around the bottom wasn’t great but he could have covered the tape with matching fabric from the awnings and it would have been great! One judge suggested the styrofoam be covered in glue and then sawdust. FOr a less messy idea he could have covered the styrofoam with burlap and then inserted the corks. Just a thought : )
What does Lena’s sculpture look like? Lena’s design was for a grapevine. I see where she was going with it but I think she missed her mark because she didn’t see it as a whole. She just saw the individual pieces.
    Who wins? Daniel won.

  • Cwindley

My favorite momen and craft are one in the same. I LOVED the Halloween episode.

Both ideas were fabulous. What a tough job for the judges!!!

The candy monster won my heart with the interactive component. I loved that the silly nature of the character took away the fear factor and then the scary hand grabbing at the candy eater added it back in with a bit of fun loving humor. That is HALLOWEEN! A little scary but a lot of fun!

The haunted ship combined cute the skelly dolls/ skelly octopus and the bats added a great fun detail. The scary wispy dyed tarp for the water was such a clever way to incorporate color and movement and that gave the effect of ghostly water. The moon. OH that moon!!! I wish she had followed through and added the light. It was beautiful, haunting and the perfect finale to an outdoor decoration.

I have enjoyed every episode. Hope to see it again next season.

  • Sheila Avalos

    1st .Daniel finished early

2nd. The following was used to serve and prepare the food barrels, corks pots & pans, bottles.

3rd. Daniel used the wine bottles and used the duct tape the lights into the wine bottles.

    4th. Grapevine w/ grape cluster.

    5. Daniel, I thought he did a fantastic job. He really showed euthasium.

  • Priscilla Gresens

    1. Daniel. Since he finished early, he put rinestones on which almost ruined the lattern.

    2. Things used for preparing and serving. Pots, pans, sheets, bowls, wine glasses and labels, etc.

    3. Wine bottles that were cut with a cutter that he didnt know how to use. It was very frustrating for him so he put tape on the edges for safety.

4.It was suppose to look like a bunch of grapes. The bowls were to be grapes, the cookie sheets leaves, the corks were bunches of grapes off the wire vine.

5.Daniel won, which he should of. His looked better.

I like the whole season. This episode was great! I have to say, my favorite craft was the back aways, the boogie board chair. I still talk about that one with my friends!

  • Jamie Chapman

    1. Daniel finished early and ended up getting judged poorly on his sloppy ends that stuck out the top of his lamp.

    2. Wine barrels, wine bottles, corks, pans, pots, bowls, crates, wine labels, food prep items, etc.

    3. He used wine bottles with the bottoms cut off. He was struggling a little bit with that wine cutter, but ended up pulling it off. I wasnt a big fan of the tape one the cut ends either.

    4. Well, it was supposed to look like a grapevine with a cluster of grapes on the end. The idea was really cool and her drawing looked neat, but it didn’t really come together like I was thinking it would.

    5. Daniel won!

My favorite moment was the Christmas wreath pop-craft challenge. I love making wreaths….they are my go-to DIY gift…so that was fun to watch. My fav craft was the wine cork balls and trees from last nights episode. I’m already planning my next wine party to collect some more corks! Any great ideas Ms. Party Planning Expert?? :)

PS…when is the next season of Tori and Dean going to air? I’m hoping there are some behind the scenes shots from Craft Wars!

I’m so proud of you, Tori! You did an amazing job this season, and I hope Craft Wars comes back for a second!!! My favorite episode was the wedding one!

  • Jessica Shelton

Daniel finished a bit early after a minor issue with the sturdiness of his wire. He did have time to add a bit of bling before the clock ran down.Crafters were given kitchen supplies, wine barrels, wine bottles, and bakeware to use in their endeavor to create fabulous Food and Wine displays.
Although Daniel struggled with the glass cutter, he came through with a finished wine bottle lantern that was fabulous, but maybe should have chose something other than the tape to finish the rough edges.
Marylena wanted her chandalier to resemble an 80’s hairdo!
Daniel was crowned the winner of Episode 9 with his wonderful lattice backdrop, gorgeous rope trivets, and wonderful cheesestands.

  • Jessica Shelton

My favorite moment from Craft Wars, was connecting with the contestants this week via blogs, Facebook, and Twitter. Making connections with talented artists is always FUN! My favorite craft from the entire season would have to be the Grammy Sculpture that Cole created. What a fabulous technique he shared melting the duct tape!!!

Favorite Craft: The light with the eyeglasses, I like seeing the different things that the crafters came up with out of eyeglasses!

  • cody smith-candelaria

1.) Daniel finished early but might have been better using the extra time to make things look less sloppy.

2.) pots, pand, wine paraphenalia, etc.

3.) Daniel used the wine bottles to make lights by cutting out the bottoms with glass cutters.

4.) Lena made a grapevine with grape clusters.

4.) Lenas made a giant grape out of corks with a wire stem with baby grapes made out of corks.

    5.) Daniel won

  • mischelle was here

    1. Daniel finished early with nearly 20 minutes to spare…then adds the jewels…he should either have left them off or “comitted to it” and added more…and could have used the time to clean up the cord area.

    2. In the Master Craft, the crafters have to use barrels, wine bottles, pans, corks, baking sheets, bowls, labels, pots, skillets, wine crates, etc.

    3. Daniel used wine bottle that he cut horribly then added duct tape to cover the cut edges (and horrid mistakes on cutting). And the duct tape was not done well, darling idea, with lack of execution and finished look. His attention to detail in both challenges is certainly lacking.

    4. Lena’s sculpture was a grapevine made with twisted wired (twisting it with a drill), the bunches of grapes made with corks. She had leaves at the bottom made with cooking sheets.

    5. Daniels wine and food display wins. His ideas are great. Just a lack of finishing details. Overall, definitely who I would have picked as the winner also.

I hate that the season is over and look forward to another successful season. I’ve found some new things to do and different ways of doing some other things. All the episodes were wonderful. Each held some little tip or idea that no one thought about before. So how do you pick just one episode? I think I would still have to say that the episode with the sculptures for the Grammy Museum is my favorite and the gramiphone my favorite craft. I loved the technique and end craft. Congratulations on what I consider a fabulous season Tori, Judges, Crew and all behind the scenes including TLC!

  • Kelsie Walker

    1. Daniel was done early with time remaining on the clock but he could have used the extra time to make his craft neater with more commitment and dedication.
    2. They have to use corks, bowls, wine labels, wine bottles, cookie sheets, wine barrels, pots, wine crates; anything to do with wine.
    3. Daniel used wine bottles. He cut out the bottom and put the lightbulb inside. He trimmed the edges with duct tape and slid the wire through the mouth of the bottle.
    4. Hers was a giant grapevine made with corks, cooking sheets and wires.
    5. Daniel won because his idea was very creative dispite the need of finishing details.

My favorite moment on craft wars was when they has to make the haloween pillows out of stuffed animals and Ashley’s was a werewolfs made out of the bears. Super cute!

My favorite episode was when they had to make children’s play houses out of school supplies. Cheryles play house was absolutely gorgeous! It was cute, creative and kitchie. Her decision to use the school book covers as shingles was genius and when the episode was over it left me wanting her play house. :)

    (1) Eager crafter Daniel beat the clock in the Pop Craft Challenge and finished up his designer-looking lamp with some serious time to spare. He added some bling, and although the judges were wowed by his very cool (or very hot, depending on your point of view) result, they just weren’t feeling the love when it came to Daniel’s addition of the jewels. Oh the risks we crafters take! (2) Certainly no shortage of pickins’ for the food and wine displays: everything from wine bottles, wine corks, barrels and crates to pots, pans and baking sheets. (3) Daniel chose bottles for outdoor lanterns, ran into a few snags at cutting time but pulled it off with every guy’s secret weapon — duct tape, of course. (4) Lena’s wonderfully artsy sculpture resembled a grapevine. (5) It was no mystery/mysTORI to this viewer. Daniel was declared the winner of the (most unfortunately) last episode of this season of Craft Wars. My favorite moment from this season had to be each moment I heard Tori utter those nail biting words: “ONE MINUTE LEFT.” My Favorite Craft?: Gee … so many good crafts … so little time. . . but if I had to choose just one, I would say it was the ‘Bedroom Challenge.’ Armed with but a mattress, those sly crafters demonstrated some unique decorating talents in their completed bedroom ensembles. Sure hope Tori lets all her fans know when it’s nce again time to “fire up those glue guns” for another season of Craft Wars. And maybe if we ask real nicely, one of the little McDermott clan will co-host a future cafting challenge with Momma Tori :-) Thanks for a great season Tori. Robyne

My favorite moment from the season is when someone chooses to use foam board- it is always an epic FAIL. Why would they chose that when they need structure? Tehe!

My favorite craft was, by far, the tufted headboard. It is always a gorgeous look, and now I know how to do it so much easier than ever before. I cannot wait to do this, and maybe see about using this application for other projects! :)

I LOVE CRAFT WARS!!! I dvr’d every episode and watch them regularly (I sure wish there was an unedited version so we can see every detail of the projects and the judges discussions!). I espcially enjoyed the creative spark that it gave my kids! We have already decided on making our Christmas tree this year out of packaging supplies (and it will NOT be like the ones on the show!) and then we are repurposing the tree into a game for my son’s birthday party, which is also a new years party. But before we can get started with Christmas, we MUST make a Halloween pillow out of stuffed animals as well as an outdoor decoration!! My girls have already started making Valentine’s day cards for close family and they are keeping it top secret (even I, mom, don’t know where they are hiding them between crafting session!). I can’t wait until next season, oh, and I’d LOVE to be on the show!!!!!!

I saw a show that was about school supplies. I was so excited to see it. I saw it on my laptop. The one that the lady made a craft out of the pencils as a window pots. It was hilarious!! I loved it! I love the fact she also made the rulers as a shutter(sp??) on the each windows. Clever!!!! but it does look like a fence it is another idea though!!!! Smile!! It is my favorite of that! Smile!!

You know what I really liked? The tips! I learned not to use spray adhesive with glitter, not to spray paint styrofoam, that I could use a hair dryer to get rid of hot glue strands, and other great tips the judges would throw out. I also liked it when the editing provided enough close-up shots and crafter commentary that enabled me to learn a new technique, for example: a sea glass look from Mod Podge + dye, or torching duct tape for a molten metal look. This was one of only two shows I made time to watch (Project Runway is the other). I’m anxiously awaiting news about a Season 2!
