Look who got her very first pedicure yesterday! It was Little Miss Hattie, and she loved it! She held completely still and was totally fascinated while I gave her the full pedi treatment. First I clipped her toe nails, then gave her little feet a massage, and finally I applied her polish – a perfect summer red!

Now, before you gasp and cringe that I painted a 10 month old’s toe nails, take note that I used ‘Piggy Paint’! It’s a nail polish made for kids that they say is as “natural as mud’. It’s non-toxic, odorless, and 100% kid friendly. Which means that it’s mom approved!

Plus, this gave the McDermott girls a chance to spend some quality time together – Stella loved helping out with the pedicure, and held Hattie’s feet while I painted her toes. Then Stella blew on Hattie’s toes to dry them. It was a true girl’s day, and we had the best time!

Now I want to hear from you – at what age do you think it’s appropriate to paint your little ones’ nails? And would you be open to painting a toddler’s toe nails with this kid-friendly polish? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
