Nothing makes me happier than putting together the perfect party! And, 4th of July is just the holiday to showcase my party-planning passion. Since we recently covered good grilling (what to make and what to use), I thought for Independence Day we’d go over some other aspects of a fun and festive fete. The table you set to entertain is a very important focal point of any get together.
Invitations are the first step and are key in making a good first impression about your soiree. I’m usually opposed to online invites, but I found this amazing app for iPhones and iPads called RedStamp and it’s great – I added my personal pics and customized this email invite right from my phone (which is key for all of you busy momistas out there).
With the right guest list and tasty food, the fun and fireworks will take care of themselves. All that’s left for you to worry about is the décor! Here are some great ways to set up a standout spread:
Here’s another plate option in melamine – which has a more modern look. This one comes in both red and blue, and it would be cute to do every other place setting in alternating colors.
We carry this fabulously chic yet plastic glassware at InvenTORI.
These pretty little platters will never go out of style.
Great for chips and salads! Comes in red, too.
I LOVE these alphabet small trays. They’ll be adorable down the middle of your table spelling JULY or your family name! You can also use them as butter dishes or for condiments or dips. After the 4th, they’ll work great to hold soap in your bathroom, keys in your entry way, or your day to day jewelry on your nightstand.
During day you can use these as centerpieces on your table, filled with sand and shells, and when the sun sets put a candle in to light up your table or hang as lanterns from your tree. Instead of candles you can also use small battery operated faux candle lights.
Love these buckets to hold flatware, napkins, appetizers or even crayons that you can set out for the kids to craft poolside.
If your get together is casual, these burger holders are great while lounging poolside!
So excited to find these! I’m obsessed with berry baskets. I always keep the original plastic ones after I get my berries in them on Sundays at our local farmers market. Now here’s the ceramic version! Put some 4th of July red and blue berries in these. Blackberries are my fave but also go for raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries! I love to finely chop mint over them and drizzle on some agave syrup.
Red and Blue Appetizer Cones:
Appetizer cones are great for homemade fries, potato chips or other apps. For dessert they would look great with a red and blue caramel corn or kettle corn.
I live for twine! I use it for everything which is why I was so excited to find red, white, and blue twine for the 4th of July. This twine can be used to tie tags onto your food or dessert buffet or DIY bar labels, to tie your flatware, or to tie up stacked 4th of July cookies that can then go on a cake plate or tray. The sky’s the limit!
I love this cute cupcake kit to embellish your holiday cupcakes!
These Crate and Barrel bins with metal handles are so cute – great for holding drinks, utensils, condiments, rolled towels, sunscreen and pool toys!
Now, I’m ALL DIY especially when it comes to food BUT, that said this Burger Bomb Sauce is AMAZING! It’s a blend of mayo, dill pickles, ketchup, Worcestershire, spicy brown mustard and spices, and it’s unbelievable on burgers or as a dipping sauce!!
Incorporate any of these little touches or mix n’ match with your own pieces to create an original and stand out 4th of July table!
