Great Gatsby lovers, get excited- the roaring 20’s are back in a big way. Twenties inspired looks were all over the runway, with designers like Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch paying major homage to the one and only Daisy Buchanan.
This is a trend I love and hold near and dear- The Great Gatsby (with Mia Farrow and Robert Redford) spoke to me so much stylistically that my first wedding was Gatsby inspired. The marriage didn’t work out but Mehran and I, till this day, say it was one of the best parties we ever planned! And, if I could go back in time and live in an era it would be the 20’s for sure.
Channel the era yourself with dropped waists, sequins, fringe, and preppy monochromatic separates. Here’s some Gatsby Chic inspiration- enjoy:
When incorporating twenties inspired pieces into your wardrobe, mix vintage elements with modern pieces to create a “modage” look. Think a twenties dress with a sleek clutch, or a beaded twenties top with a leather jacket and jeans. Here are some great Gatsby Chic finds that won’t break the bank:
Hat: American Apparel ($38); Pearls: Nicole Miller ($90); ); Gryphon Flutter Dress: Les Nouvelles ($325); Beaded Grey Drop Waist Dress: Alice & Olivia ($137); Heels: Topshop ($110); Feather Chain Bag: House of Fraser ($229); Art Deco Stud Earrings: Topshop ($25); Feather bolero: John Lewis ($95); Headband: Topshop ($28); Pink Bow Dress: ASOS ($42); Tassel Necklace: Max & Chloe ($88); Nude Embellished Dress: Miss Selfridge ($47)
