I thought it would be fun to do a little Q & A! It’s time to put on your interview hats and ask me your most burning questions. Whether they’re about my books, my store, my TV shows, or anything else, I’m taking all of your questions today! The only rule is: be respectful to me and your fellow readers (you can read the site terms here if you’re not sure). That said, I’m an open book, so ask away!

Leave your questions in the comments below. I’ll choose a few to answer in a future blog!

    Hi Tori!

Being a celeb, business-woman, a devoted mother of 3 and a loving wife. How do you manage it all?

Sitting here in Norway watching you on the show Tori and Dean Inn Love, (both my feancee and me), and I get stunned over how much you get to do in 24 hours.

  • Janette Bennett

I’m an Independent Chocolatier with Dove Chocolate Discoveries. We do at-home tasting parties and sample delicious chocolate products. So my question is…. when should I put you down for a party? ;)

  • Carol

Thanks so much for doing this, Tori! I don’t know where to start, but will ask:

Besides Nanny Pat, when you had each of your babies, do you have ongoing help to keep your household running, such as a cleaning staff and personal assistants?

I have a million more questions, so please do this again! smiley-smile.gif

  • Amy Montanus

    Hey there,

Help….I would love some ideas for a hostess gift for by husband’s boss and his wife. They are hosting the company Christmas party and I would love to come with something fun, current and appropriate??? They can buy anything they need/want (he was a successful hedgefund manager in NYC, now lives in NC and runs another successful hedgefund..and the wife is an interior decorator) They are in their 50′s and have grandkids and they love Duke University. Any thoughts, ideas? You always have such fun ideas for your parties and you totally understand about the wealthy and what they would like….right???

Thanks…oh, and so happy for you and the family on your new little one –she is sweet hope you are feeling good!

Since they are already in the public eye as themselves on your show, would you allow your children to be child actors if they wanted to do it?

What are 3 books that you are reading now or have read that have impacted you in some way?

I am a mother of 2 small children, and I just bought the Duggars book on raising children. She has the sweetest kids and I wanted to know any secrets that a mother of 19 kids would have for raising children.smiley-laughing.gif

  • Elizabeth LeDoux

Tori, what happened to Little Maven? I am a huge fan, and was sad to see the Web site go down, the Facebook page deleted and media reports of Hartstring’s bankruptcy. Is the line dead? Is there a chance it will come back somewhere else? It was such a great idea, and such a labor of love, it is sad to think of its total demise.

Love you and can’t wait to meet Hattie during the season premier later this month.

    Elizabeth from VA

A friend and I was wondering what celebrities do with their kids clothes when the kids can no longer wear them? Like I have a garage sale every year to get rid of kids clothes, do you donate them or what? Just curious. Thanks

  • Karla Fields

First of all, I would like to say that I have watched you grow up on tv, and have always been a fan! My question is, how do you manage it all? Your household, business, blogs, jewelery, the list is too long…… :)

    PS. Your children are adorable!

    Hi Tori,

This is awesome and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to ask you a question. Great idea! Could you please tell us where to find the beautiful furniture you have in your bedroom? Your headboard is amazing and the paint color is perfect.

    Hi Tori,

I hope you and your family are doing well. Thank you for answering our questions. I have a style one for you. I loved the Caftan that you wore in your ceremony. I have a military ball coming up and I would to one similar to it. I want to wear something different this year. (or if you have different ideas let me know that as well, you are my style icon!!) Thank you and take care!!

  • Rachel KWatson

    Tori,

    Thanks for answering questions.

All mother daughter relationships have their ups and downs. What advice do you have for daughters out there?

  • Tamara Smolyansky

As a mom of 18 mo. old twins (boy/girl), I would love to know how you handled tantrums. My daughter is 90% angel, 10% devil and I’m having a helluva time with her tantrums – she’s an absolute dream when things are going her way but when she doesn’t get what she wants when she wants it, she sprouts (very cute) horns and a tail.

You and Dean seem to have made it through unscathed. Any advice?

  • April Biller

Hi, Hope your headache is better! I have contemplated starting a new business that caters to children, children’s parties and families, and need some advice on what are the first steps in doing so. After researching the idea, I am ready to start a business plan. Do you suggest I go to my local SBA?

    Thanks

    April

  • hollabacknow

  • Valley Fields

Good Morning Tori, I’m so overwhelming busy sometimes! I bet you are as well. I have 3 kids too. My youngest is a girl-age 16. She just got her license. I am having a bit of car pool withdrawal after taking her to school every day! Have you even thought this far into the future when your children learn to drive? I feel nervous when she leaves for school and need to calm down. Any tips or ideas on how to be a cool, calm & collected MOM?!smiley-kiss.gif

    Hi Tori!

I have been lucky enough to meet you at two different book signings and you have been so sweet and have taken your time with each and every fan. Thank you!

My question is…Can I get a book signed for a Golf Fundraiser/Silent Auction for Smith Magenis Syndrome which my son has been diagnosed with? You met him in La Jolla last year at a signing for Uncharted TerriTORI. I would donate one of my own but you were kind enough to sign them to me. :)

    Tori:

I am getting married next December & I would love some marriage advice!

My fiance and I are both in our early 20′s and we are beyond excited to start our family. A lot of people think we are too young to be getting married, but how can that be?

I’ve had baby fever since I was born, so as soon as we get married I want to start trying to conceive – would you recommend waiting? Most people do, I just wanted your input :)

Have a lovely day beautiful Momma!

What happened to Little Maven? I have been missing this clothing line! Is it coming back?

Hope you and the family are doing well! Hattie is adorable, and of course so is Liam and Stella!

  • Kathie Tinkham

Hi Tori! Last Spring a friend of mine sent you the cookies you ordered for the gunkles baby shower and with it I sent a dog wearing a tutu with Stella’s name on it, a dog wearing a super heros cape with Liam’s name on it, and a dog holding a dogbone with Simone’s name on it. I was just wondering if you saw them. Of course I understand if you didn’t, you must get things like that all the time. I’m just very curious. Well my name is Kathie, I’m a huge fan, and I have an Etsy shop called wishwithme. Can’t wait for the new show to get started!

  • Shannon

You always look so amazing so quickly after having your babies!! What are your tips for losing the baby weight? I’m about to have my thrid in about 3 weeks and I want to finally be able to shed everything I haven’t been able to after the first two!! Thanks Tori! You are an amazing mommy!!!

  • Amy McIntyre

Hi Tori, Congrats on the latest addition to your family. I have a couple of questions. First, what can we except to see in your new season of your reality show? Second, I saw online that you had bought a new home, is that true? Looking forward to watching your show in a couple of weeks.

  • Mar

Hey Tori I am a huge fan and I love Beverly Hills 90210. Kelly was my fave and Donna was my other fave!! I wanna know if you would ever come to the south to do book signings or anything? I would really LOVE to meet you. I would also love to meet Jennie Garth! Bring her with you :) Have a good day Tori and I think your kids are adorable and I love your show :)

  • Samantha Thornton

    Hello Tori,

I want to say thank you for being you! You have inspired me to be myself no matter how goofy, silly, or unconventional people may think I am. I love your books and your shows. I wonder what inspires you to stay positive through all the crap people say about you? You seem pretty grounded for a California girl ;) Just wanted to send you some love and I hope you are feeling better!

  • Katy Coleman

Hey Tori, I’m so excited to watch the new season of Home Sweet Hollywood and I really loved Storibook Weddings. Congrats to your family and your new addition to the family. I would like to know how you and Dean came up with the name Hattie Margaret. Its a beautiful name just like Liam and Stella. I was just curious. Have a great day. Can’t wait for Nov 29th. :)

    Hi Tori!

As a party planner/stay at home mommy of 2 boys, I am dying to know… what’s the BEST party you’ve ever hosted or been to?

And what party trends do you see becoming popular for 2012?

  • Heather Rushing

    hello tori!

congrats on little Hattie and i hope everyone is adjusting well in your lovely household!

i have a few?’s…i know you are a big supporter of the anti bullying and my 11 year old daughter actually started an anti bullying program at her school in ny last year which was a great success. we have since moved to SC and she was asked to start another group. last year, she was overwhelmed a little with ideas for meetings and was a little shy coming up with things to say to the groups. do you have any tips or websites that might help guide her a little better? she takes it so seriously but at 11, is a little intimidated when speaking publicly. ;)

next, i have an online baby boutique that has done pretty well and i’m wanting to open an actual storefront here in hilton head, SC. you are an AMAZING superwoman, juggling such a creative life! i was wondering if you have any do’s and dont’s in the business area for someone starting out. maybe some pointers as to what to do first legally when setting up shop. also, any tips on how to maintain normalcy and keeping your sanity with a family (i have 2 kids and a hubby) when running your own business outside of the home. that’s been challenging even having a home office…makes me a little nervous thinking of losing any connection when i’m not. :( oh, and how the heck to use twitter to help promote my business?…lol! i still don’t get it! i’m sure i’ll figure it out someday! :D

anyway, thank you for being such a beautiful inspiration to all of us hard working mommas! your sense of humor and affection for your family are my favorite attributes! i’ve posted a couple of times that i would love to send your little ones some free goodies if you are interested at all…as a thank you for giving women like me such a wonderful platform to express ourselves as well as a path to follow by your example!

    much ♥

Hello!! Congrats on the new baby girl! Can’t wait for HSH to start. I know over the spring/summer you were working on an entertaining book, when is that scheduled to come out?

    Thank you!!

  • Amy Harrison

    Hi Tori!

I must say I really admire your determination and drive to succeed. Most of the Hollywood types come off as never getting their hands dirty but I am beyond impressed that you never give up and are always working hard to provide for your family and also give back.

How do you keep going? Would you trade it all for a ‘life of leisure’ or do you think no matter what you’d have to keep busy with some project? I know I can’t sit still and need to be doing something productive at all times or I tend to get nutty…at least that’s what my hubby tells me ;) is why I ask.

You’re a great role-model for your kids with all of your work and projects. Keep up the great work :)

  • Mel

Good Morning Tori! first off I’m glad you are back home and hopefully feeling much better :) I have a few questions I’d like to ask… do you have any kid friendly-adult yummy casserole recipes to share? I also would like to ask if there is a way to watch Home Sweet Hollywood online? I was wondering…does Hattie still sleep 5-6 hours at a time? if so how do you do that:)? my baby girl was born in August and still wakes to nurse every 2 hours. Oh….and how is Patsy doing? Thank you for taking time to read and consider my questions. Congratulations to you and your family on your new addition! God bless!

  • Kimberley Hernandez

You make me laugh and you make me cry! I love your chemistry with all your friends! How did you get so lucky to have such a solid friend base?

You also have an amazing ability in planning! I love that about you! Maybe we could plan a party together sometime! smiley-laughing.gif

Congrats to you and Dean on baby Hattie! May she have both of your corny sense of humor!!!

  • Elizabeth Zucati

Hi Tori! First off i want to say Congrats to you and your family for the new addition! Your family is beautiful! I just wanted to ask…how do you and Dean keep your marriage healthy and happy?

  • Emily Bruce

Hi Tori(: First I want to say Congrats to you and the family for the new addition.

I love watching your shows and reading the books so my question to you is: How do you keep up with things your working on?

  • Victoria Scott

Hi Tori, thanks. It’s funny I was thinking about you yesterday, my husband and I are moving into our first house as newly weds and it reminded me of the episodes of you and Dean building your homes together. One of the things I always love are your head boards. I was telling the hubby about it and he too thinks a fabric head board would be great. If I recall I remember you picking the fabric out for the head board, did you then put it together or how did the shape get formed (was it wood) and then the fabric placed and stuffed for a nice comfy cusion? I’d appreciate any tips on how to do this custom project, thanks! Love your show and blog!! Thanks for all the great entertainment :)

  • Christina West

Good Morning Tori!!!! Congrats to you and your family on the new bundle of joy!

I was wondering is there an address to send fan mail to?

The reason I ask is because I am getting married next year and I would love to send you an invite, I know we do not know eachother and you can’t come or anything, but I would just love to get some feedback on my invites and wedding in genral, plus you are one of my favorite people of all time so I can’t not send you an invite!

  • Jennifer Ripel

Hi Tori! I’ve been watching you on tv/movies since I was just little! You’ve always been an inspiration for me when it comes to style, beauty and being a strong, independant woman. I would love to know if now that you are a Mama, have you any regrets about any of the movies, shoots or anything else that you have done in the past that is public?!

Thank you so much!!! Jennifer, whiteococcoli.com (ps. congrats on baby #3!!! Will there be more?!)

    Hi Tori,

Congratulations on your growing family! My question is the next time you come through Texas, will you and your family stop in my hometown of Hutto and have some of the best southern food and pie in one of our local restaurants? LOL! It’s a longshot but I thought I’d ask? smiley-laughing.gif

  • Cassey Bender

    Hi Tori,

I’ve been reading here and there that you’ll be putting out a new book. Any idea when that might be? And will you be going on tour when that book is released??

I’m in Milwaukee but would love to take a lil trip wherever you might end up going. :) I hope all is well and congrats on your new baby girl. I can’t wait for the newseason to start to see her and your family again! Take care!

  • Mel Liz

    Hello Tori!

In your books sTORI Telling and Unchartered TerriTORI I noticed a theme – you seemed to struggle with ‘people pleasing’. It appeared to be hard for you to put yourself first, and to turn off the constant thoughts of what other people might percieve your actions to be. Firstly – is that still a struggle for you these days? Has motherhood or finding your soulmate helped with this or added to it? Was there an ‘aha’ moment?!

And secondly – do you think that the urge to people please comes from your upbringing in the spotlight? Or more with how you were raised, and family life? I work with actors and some of them don’t seem to have an issue with it, but many do.

Anyway, first time commenter, just read your books on a whim a few weeks ago and I was very impressed with your candor, writing style and sense of humour! I struggle with trying to please everyone- often at the expense of my own happiness, which is why I asked that question. Also: seeing a couple like you and Dean gives me hope that I’ll find love one day, too.

Thank you for your honesty in your writing!! :)

  • Kat Hartwell

hey tori congrats on hattie and hope your family is doing very well :) soo happy and excited for you! was wondering.. for my daughter’s sake.. she wants another Tallulah series book.. are u thinking of doing a series??? please answer this one!! LOVE YOU and give my love to your family!!!! xo

    Kat

  • Serena Ruiz

Hi Tori! It’s so funny to me how everyone knows so much about you – must be a little strange at times….anyway I guess I’ll join the gang – Congratulations to you & your family on Baby Hattie. She’s beautiful…from what I can see by her feet & ear that is! lol :)

Tori, my question is this: Do you know the color of the exterior of your house? I’m assuming the one you live in now. My husband who has such a great eye for decorating was looking on when the last season of Home Sweet Hollywood was on and said he loved the color of your home. He begged me to send you a tweet & ask. I did but I know you would never be able to answer all of your tweets!

My second question is in reference to being a step parent: How are you able to be a step mom to Jack w/out crossing those weird “stepparent” boundaries. My husband is my son’s “step dad” and he often has a hard time between being too authoritative & loving at the same time. It’s hard for me to give him advice when I have never been a stepmom.

Thanks for your time Tori! Can’t wait for the new season to start! :)

  • Sarah Nicole Balzac

    Hi Tori,

    I have 2 questions:

    1) What inspired the name Hattie and is her middle name in honor of Nany?

    2) Are you still planning on selling your house? I just ask, because I wondered after you spoke about some decorating projects recentley.

  • Ann Marie Vasquez

OK, here it goes! I always wonder this. You being a celebrity how do you make just common friendships. Me being as normal as normal can get. LOL When I am in a market or just in the park or in a book store ect. I can mingle with women around me and it’s ok. I have actually met life long friends in the park etc. If I were at a park and I just randomly came up to you to speak with you about the the children or how the day was and our conversation was stimulating would you pursue it any further? I have a friend who her husband is a NFL football player and she has to be careful about who she let’s in for many reasons but I being the one that sits on the side lines sees that she misses out on a lot of opportunities for meaningful relationships with other women that have a lot of things in common with her. I know the friendships you have shared with us on TV land are very strong, but have you ever considered that the normal people can bring wonderful things into your life as well? Do you think that maybe that random person in the park can bring something wonderful into your life as well? Sometimes I feel sadden for my friend. Yes she has the finer things, the big nice house, all the celebrity friendships, but sometimes looking in I see her missing a lot. I just wonder how you feel about this?

By the way you are wonderful mother and your marriage is one I truly look up to. My husband and myself started our marriage the same way you and Dean did. We have three wonderful children now. I love how you have the courage to stand up for what you love. Congrat’s on the new arrival. Your so Blessed!

  • Lucina Moon

What is something you do that you think a ‘perfect’ mom wouldn’t do?

    Hey Tori–

I have several pieces of your jewelry and love them. Have you ever thought of designing a line of handbags? I am a purse hoarder and have always wondered what your designs would be like.

    Hello Tori —

I have enjoyed watching your life on TV. i LOVE!!! your taste in home decore, I know that you have your own store, but have your thought about branching out with, I know, another business to home decoracting? I don’t seem to have the fabulous eye that you have for decorating. I would love to be able to take tips by watching you transform peoples’ houses. Design on a Dime but Tori Spelling style. smiley-laughing.gif

  • Jordan Yaworski

    Hi Tori!

I admire so many things you do, and I can’t wait to see what projects you have in store in the future!

    Hi Tori,

I have two children, my youngest boy is 17 months and mo oldest is 2 and a half. I feel like I am running out of activities and things to play. Do you have any activities that always seem to work and your kids always seem to enjoy?

    THanks,

  • Amy Kelly

    Hey Miss T!!

Since I am struggling with wondering where I am suppose to go with life…(hence going through a divorce, my second and I am 36). I was hopeful that you could give advice on Love, Dating and finding that someone like Dean for girls out there. I seriously don’t want to make the same mistake again. How can you pick up the life again? (…divorce sure does break your heart) Yes, they say time heals…but how?

Question: Would you ever do a dating advice or Real Love Tori Way Guideance. Heck I don’t know, but helpful pointers would be good too.

Thanks sweetie…give lots of hugs to the family!

  • icequeen1215

    Hi, Tori!

I was wondering what your family dressed up for this Halloween? Also, how do you find the time to volunteer for all of the kids activities at their school? I love when you tweet pictures of the snacks that you send in!

  • Kenza Alaoui-Fornesi

    Hi Tori!

I’m a huge fan and have LOVED watching your children grow! I am the proud mommy of a 20 month old daughter and soon to be twins (a boy and a girl due in January). I have my own online handmade baby boutique on Etsy called Ooh La La Babe and I have been wanting to send you a baby gift for little Hattie. How would I go about doing that?

    Thanks so much,

    Kenza

  • Clarice Hutchings

    Hey Tori,

I am a huge fan and watch all of your shows, and yes I was also a 90210 fan! I loved reading your first book as well. I too have threee daughters. Talia is 11, Ava is 8, and Molley Kate is 6. Thus, I havent had the opportunity to read the other two books. I really need to get out there, buy them, and give myself a few minutes each day to relax and read. But, actually my question is in no way related to this…

So, here goes… When I watch you and your friends and family on television I really admire how real and down to earth you are. I often think, “I really wish I had a friend like her:)” So my question is … Are you accepting applications for more friends currently??? lol! Just kidding. My real question is, “Will you ever consider doing a book signing in Kansas City, Missouri?” It is a dream of mine to meet you and I would be very greatful for the opportunity. I live and teach in a small town about 45 minutes east of there, so that would be the closest major city near me.

Thanks for the consideration and congrats on your new little addition.

    Sincerely

    Clarice

  • Victoria Shirley

I am a massive fan. I live in London United Kingdom and would love to know if you have any plans to sell your jewellry in the UK? We have a home shopping channel and I would love to buy all of your pieces!!! I am looking forward to all of your future projects. You are a very creative and inspirational lady! Cograts on your beautiful new daughter xx

  • Louise

Have you ever thought of a doing a show that would have segments of cooking, crafting, home decorating, party planning etc but in a reality way? Pretty much everything that is on this site.

  • Andrea Palazzo

Hi T!! I am a MEGA FAN and I have so many questions that I want to ask you, but for the sake of time and your sanity, I will choose 2!!

First – Are you on the market for more friends? I asking that jokingly… but seriously, are you?! We could totally hang out… I’m just saying!! smiley-wink.gif

Second – Now that you have three beautiful children, a lovely husband, many thriving careers and so on and so on, what is the one thing you do for yourself, even be it the smallest thing, that helps you get back to you? I have two children of my own (Haylee is 7 and Brody is 3), and I find it very hard to take “Mommy Time” without feeling guilty. I’ve read all of your books and I know that you tend to feel the same… but I have an idea that you might just be on to something that works!!

I am a first time mother. My question is about pregnancy. I wanted to know what’s the best thing to use for stretch marks? I remember you using something on an episode of Tori and Dean when you were pregnant with Stella and of course you look amazing after 3 kids. Thanks alot fan from Dallas Tx.

  • Elizabeth Denise

I was wondering if you would think about coming to Ft Bliss to do a book signing or just a meet and greet? i’m a army wife and my hubby is coming back from Iraq soon from his 4th deployment it would mean a lot and help boost moral around here if you and Dean could come

  • emily wire

Hi Tori!!! I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE FAN OF YOURS!!! Also your family!! LOVE DEAN, LOVE STELLA, LOVE LIAM, LOVE BABY HATTIE and can’t WAIT TO SEE the new Tori and Dean show soon!!! My husband and I have a beautiful 2 year old baby girl named Emileigh. And we’re expecting baby #2 on the way! Next April. SO EXCITED!!!!
I also wondered what creams you used while you were pregnant! BUT even more so, I ALWAYS have wondered what cleansers and skincare products you use on your face! I use Proactive Solution, but I’m always nervous about using benzoyl peroxide on my face while pregnant, but the dr’s say it’s ok! You always look FANTASTIC!!! And while chasing my little 2 year old sweetie around all day, I feel like my skin looks tired! I would FREAK OUT and LOVE IT if you wrote back!!!

    WE LOVE YOU TORI!!!!

    Love,

    Andrea C. (Marlton, NJ) :) :) :)

  • Jeanne Tutt

Hello McDermott family! Did you get Hattie from the character on the show Parenthood? Do you have a p.o. box or something we could send things to? I want to thank you and Dean for putting everything out there on your shows. It’s so refreshing to see the problems everyone else has you have. that y’all are so real. You and Dean have a very similar relationship to my husband and I. I want to applaud you for not taking the easy way out when things get tough unlike most public people these days.

What tv shows do you guys like to catch? Favorite movie? Favorite childhood cartoon? Do you still get butterflies from time to time when you look at Dean? Favorite designer? (besides yourself) Would you go on the motorcycle with Dean again? My husband and I do! I have a 2007 Blur Scooter if Dean is interested that would be perfect for Jack! It’s too tall for me! We use our yamaha tour and it’s sooo nice!

How come the guncles didn’t inherit patsy?? Did you get preggers just to get patsy back? ;) j/k. I could tell you were preggers before you announced! feeling I had not anyway you looked I promise.

    Peace and love

    Jeanne

Much like yourself, I suffer from migranes and the only time they went away was when I was pregnant. I just want to know how you push through all the pain and manage to lead such a busy and productive life? I find it so frustrating that I waste so much time in my life trying to get rid of a headache! Thanks!

Hi Tori, this is a fun blog! I am a bit hesitant in asking you questions that are a bit too personal, but at the same time you seem to be very open and candid on this site, you are quite inviting. Mmm, to stay on the safe site, I’ll stick a bit in the middle:

    - Do you have guilty pleasures? Sorry, no deeper meanings just pure curiosity.

    - How come you have this very positive attitude? Is it something that we in Europe might consider ‘American’? Or are you born as a ‘glass-is-half-full-girl’? Or is it a result of life-events?

    - And one I keep juggling with for years now , being of your age and a working mother of three as well: what do you do to take time for yourself, (i.e. without beloved husband and kids, to reload so to speak) without immediately flying away on a guilt-trip?

    - Are you considering a trip to Europe again? I saw the episode of T&D, about your trip to Scotland and I was having a blast! I think it’s fun to see how people from over the world live the same lifes but in complete different ways (fun item for a show anyway?!?)

Thanks a lot for this opportunity to interview you. Cannot wait for the answers.

  • Elloise Brady

    Hey Tori,

This is such a great idea! I hope you are feeling better and congratulations on the new addition to your family. First of all I love this blog not many celebrities open their doors to the public to do something like this. Second of all I am a massive fan of yours and have read all of your books, try to watch your TV shows but unfortunately here in Australia they only air on foxtel which isn’t in my budget :( I wish they were on DVD so then I could buy them!

First Question: What are your favourite fashion brands?

Second Question: What were other baby names you could have chosen for Hattie? (I LOVE THE NAME HATTIE)

Third Question: Not sure if you can answer this but when is your new book coming out?

Fourth Question: I love your jewellery but there is no shipping to Australia, can I buy it some other way?

Fifth Question: What is your favourite all time cake recipe?

Thanks so much for letting everyone do this can’t wait till you answer! Hopefully I was respectful, I don’t mean to be disrespectful at any point!!!

I love you and just keep doing what you are doing because you are great at it!!

    Love and luck

    Hi Tori,

I have recently had a slew of bad luck, a broken engagement, friends dying, etc. I tried to do a cleansing of sorts of my apartment. I have used sage, mugwort, cedar…even a cinnamon broom. Now I still am attracting negative energy! I am hoping I am transcending into an enlightened self, but I’m having a difficult time seeing the light at the end of this depressing tunnel. Do you have suggestions to clear negativity?? I so want to have my life in order.

    Thanks!

    Courtney

  • SHARRON LOCKWOOD

So sorry to hear about your migraine. I have suffered with them for over 40 years. Two things that help. Cold pack at the back of the next and a special medication that is a nose spray that goes directly to your blood stream at the first signs of a migraine. It’s called diergotomine(?) and it is made by a “compound pharmacy”. If you would like more info e-mail me @ sunflwr13@frontiernet.net.

When will your new season start and will the Guncles and Moran be on? What ever happened to your friend, Jenni(?) who was in the first season? She helped get your new house ready after you had a baby. Also, will you be doing more weddings? You and Dean did such an increible job. Loved those shows. Congratulations on your new little one. With all you do I don’t know how you find any time for yourself and it’s VERY important that you take time for you. Looking forward to new season!

  • Lillian Turner

Hi Tori! Huge fan and still watch all the old 90210 reruns on SoapNet. :) grew up with you on tv and think you are amazing. love this idea of q & a.
What’s your favorite place to visit?
What’s your favorite quick week night dinner recipe?
Can’t wait to read another book. How do you focus and work so hard? What drives you to be so positive?
I, like you, suffer from migraines. Any suggestions?
    Xoxo, Lillian

    Hi Tori!

Can I just start by saying – I love you haha. Watching your shows, reading your books, you really inspire me as a mother. I was just wondering, how did you prepare your kids (Liam when you were pregnant with Stella and both when you were pregnant with Hattie) for the arrival of another bundle of joy?

My daughter is 23 months old (her birthday and party is in two weeks – will probably never grasp the fact she is growing up haha) and we are talking about one day having another and I was just curious =)

    Love from Australia!

Tori- Will there be a new season of Tori & Dean? I miss it so much!

  • Kendra Bayer

Thank you for doing this Q&A Tori!

Ok, I got married 2 years ago and I HATED my wedding. We were engaged for a few years and it was the worst, most painful experience of my life. No one cared what I wanted and people fought with me on every detail. Even my best friend and bridesmaid (my husband’s sister) told me she refused to be in the wedding if I chose the bridesmaids dresses I had in mind. On top of everything my mother and I are estranged so that made things even more difficult. This is only the tip of the iceberg … Lets just say my hair started to fall out and I was a good 40 pounds overweight due to all the stress. I finally just gave up and had a small family only wedding that really wasn’t memorable, special, or enjoyable. I won’t even frame the pictures or put them in an album. I’ve thought about us renewing our vows in a few years but it seems like a waste of money when we should be saving to buy a house and start a family. I would love to do something like you did in Fiji; something that would allow us to just celebrate our love and not worry about everyone else, but I’m afraid that now the damage is done and I will never be able to move past it.

I guess I don’t really have a specific question, but any guidance or advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

  • rell

Hi tori, Hope you are all well and settling in well with baby Hattie.

I am in the early stages of starting a home based business decorating and making table centrepieces and decorations to hire out for events.

I was wondering where you get your artistic inspiration and ideas when decorating for weddings. I am designing simple yet unique pieces.

I was wondering if you wouldnt mind suggesting some websites or magazines etc that you might find worth a look.

    Thank you from Australia…………

Hi Tori, Glad that you are feeling better. Congratulations on new baby! I love the name, Hattie you picked for a new baby. It is a such beautiful name.

    1. Did you give any advice for your kids when they goes to school or friend’s house or around new baby, Hattie? What are those?

    2. What did your kids make you and Dean so proud?

    3. If you are not actress or celeb, what will you be?

In about one month ago, I asked you about Stella changing Hattie’s diaper in HSN live chatting. I was wondering if she is really do it.

    Is she really doing?

Hello T! Here are some questions I’ve always thought of asking you :)

    A) I remember reading in Teen Beat magazine as a kid that you wrote a screenplay that you had filmed. Just wondering if the public will ever see it? Also, what did you call it?

    B) Of the plethora of TV movies you’ve done; which is your favorite and why? Which character did you enjoy playing most?

    C) Two of your professional goals were to star in a horror movie and host Saturday Night Live. You’ve done horror movies (Scream 2 and Cthulhu). Still interested in hosting SNL? Maybe doing more horror movies?

    D) I know you auditioned for the role that Charlize Theron got in Cider House Rules. What one role do you still wish you had gotten out of all of the auditions you’ve done?

Thanks for being so awesome! You rock!

    Hi Tori,

I began watching you when I was on bed rest with my daughter and fell in love with your show.

    3. Where did you get your baby farm sign? I absolutely love that!

    Hi Tori:

I just had a my first child on the 28th of October and have been feeling really down ever since coming home. My question is did you ever experience the so called “baby blues”? If so, how did you cope and how did you get over them? I can’t help but feel like I’m failing my daughter right now. Please help!!

  • Arely Borja

    HI Victoria (Tori)

Since this is an “Ask me ANYTHING” … here I go:

Do you have any advise on how to conveice?! I might sound a little silly asking you this…right? My parthner and I have been trying to conveice for the past year or soo..now I have discover the loving thing of mother nature and having an absence of mensrual cycle and not having to ovulating every month. (which of course it makes it much harder to time it just right)

You have (3) beautiful successful pregnancies and your kiddos are gorgeous!

Everyone is telling me the same thing. “not to stress out” and to have faith, possitive attitude! In all reality it’s become a lot difficult that I honestly thought. Having to feel a bit alone and @ times feeling a bit of guilt for not being able to or provide my partner w/ our first bundle of joy. I know at the end will be rewarded!

    Any words of wisdom, suggestions?

Thank you and I appreciate you taking the time to hear me out!

    Sincerely;

    Ms.Nena

  • Mama Jen

Hello! Since you said to “ask me anything” here I go!

This is not meant to be disrespectful, just something I have always wondered. I work at a police department as a 911 Communications Dispatcher. Our schedules force us to miss numerous holidays with our families each year, our schedules rotate every 4 weeks, and I only have weekends off about every 2 to 4 months. We deal with some pretty scary stuff sometimes while serving the public. My salary is less than $30,000 a year.

The police officers I work with daily put their lives on the line every time they come to work. They are some of the most generous and brave men and women I have ever met. Their salaries depending on experience are less $40,000 a year.

I know our incomes are awful in comparison to most celebrities. I know you work extremely hard – I am not trying to imply that all. But I personally believe first responders, law enforcement, and firefighters who sacrifice times with their familiesto serve and protect the public are not thanked enough and are way under paid. Do you agree? Is this something you think about? Just to clarify things, the police officers and first responders I work with daily have never said they want a thank you. They understand they signed up for the work because they care. I am not a disgruntled person, I LOVE my job and wouldn’t change it for the world. Just a thought in the back of my mind.

I enjoy your shows and I find your ambition inspirational. Thank you for your time!

(p.s. I also realize that cost of living in SD as opposed to CA is drastically different but I promise if you researched the salaries in CA you would find it surprising.)

  • Toni Daughtry

    Hi Tori!

First I want to Thank you again for my beautiful Kaftan! I will post a picture as soon as I can. Our family has had a really rough year with my husband becoming totally disabled, and with our 20 year old daughter already disabled and I just posted the following on my FB wall about my youngest daughter Jane.

Thirteen years ago today I was at Clovis Community getting read to have my third baby girl. At 12:14 am on the morning of the 10th she blessed us all!! Our sweet Janie Lynn. She has been the sunshine of my mornings, the laughter during my days, the new growth of gray hairs on my head and sometimes the cause of my headaches but she is the most precious gift from heaven!! She has gone through alot in her 13 years, some of which others may live a life time without going through! However, she makes the best out of a not so good situation and just keeps on singing….literally! In the past few weeks we found out that Janie has a enlarged liver & spleen, a kidney problem (a twist in the main artery the goes to her kidney) and a congenital defect with her bladdar. We will be seeing several Dr’s in the weeks to come. She will be at Children’s Hospital tomorrow (On her Birthday) to find out about her liver and spleen. So with your birthday wishes to Janie tomorrow send her a little prayer! We love you more than you will ever know Miss Jane!!! XOXOXOXOX ♥ ♥ ♥ Love Mom

I was just wondering if you, Dean and your staff could say a little prayer for her. Thank you,

    Much Love,

    Toni Daughtry

  • Sandy

    Hi Tori,

I am e-mailing from Germany and I love your show …. unfortunately, there is no way for me to watch it on TV so I’ve been on the lookout for DVDs for ages …. are you planning to release your shows on DVD some time soon? Also, any plans for a new book? LOVED the ones so far!

    Lots of love

    Sandy

    Hi Tori-

I just saw a clip of Hattie’s nursery on access hollywood and love what you did, you definitely have an act for interior design and would hire you in a blink if I had the chance (maybe an idea for a new reality show?!). Just wondering if you could tell me where I can find the following items from your nursery (fabric used for window treatment and glider and the carpet). You have such creativity and great taste, everything always turns out so great.

    All the best,

    Organic Mom
