Over the weekend, my family went to a food truck fair at a local Malibu park on the bluffs. There was no admission – just bring your picnic blanket and an appetite! There were about ten food trucks, from Indian to Mexican to sushi to crepes, so we had a culinary adventure and an affordable, fun family day.
Here’s a pictorial diary of our day:
Stella was a big fan of their quesadillas, and I loved their surfer nachos.
It was like a food truck bazaar!

Stella was excited to dive in and try new foods and new cultures! She’s our adventurous eater.
Liam, our picky eater, chose to engage in a game of football with a nearby family instead of eating.
And for dessert…Tums. Seriously, a must-have for preggo food fair fans!
Kicking back and lovin’ my shorty boots for the third summer in a row…they’ve proven to be a summer staple.

Stella saying, “Mama look how big I am. Am I bigger?” Kids want to grow up so fast. And they do. I remember asking my parents the same thing, and now I’m almost a mama of three. Time flies…
Liam gazing at his shadow. He asked, “Mama will he bite me?”
I live for family days!
The kids kissing the baby! Liam makes sure he kisses the baby at least once a day.
A great DJ played music for the families.

Well, there you have it! You don’t have to spend much money to have a family fun day. Just check your local paper for fairs or festivals in your area. That’s what I did! And the result was a day of great food, music, sun, activities, new friends, and just being together as a family.
Food truck fairs are perfect for family entertainment. Options range from comfort food to cutting edge fusion cuisine, so picky eaters and adventurous foodies can go home happy. Plus, food trucks are all the rage in LA!
